Condo: The Update

So last weekend I had put in offers on two condos. One I liked a little more than the other because it is larger, but I could see myself in either. Guess which one accepted? The smaller one. Haha! Figures. Lol

Well, apparently the other was just not what the Lord had in mind. I am still super excited about the other. We ate going ahead with it. Now its just a matter of the bank approving it (it's a short sale). I believe that it is highly likely this will be my new home. :)

Its all happening so fast--unusually fast--but that's the way God works. His ways are many times beyond our understanding. Its supernatural for sure.

Now its time to take a good look at my budget and start trimming the fat...

Househunting and stuff...

So I officially have two offers in on two condos... so far. I know they say not to get excited about the first properties you find, but something tells me I have a pretty decent shot with either one.

The realtor, my good friend Mandy, and I looked at a good amount of places, but some were just not a good fit for one reason or another. So it was narrowed down to the two, both being places in which I could see myself living. Nothing is guaranteed, so I will continue searching for now.

One thing's for sure--it sure is hard not to get excited and run out to start buying stuff for the house. Must. Have. Self-control. Lol...

I've been on three major interviews in the last month. I think I did well on all three, but there is one I'm hoping to get the most. Whichever one the Lord decides to bless me with will be appreciated... by me AND my future mortgage...

I'm heading out to Las Vegas this weekend for my friend Jen's birthday. I'm super excited. It should be fun.

This will be my first trip to Vegas in a long time. I'm looking forward to laying out at the pool and not feeling AS self-conscious as I would have 21 lbs ago. :)

Lord, I can't say it enough lately: Thank You for all of these undeserved blessings. You are so good to me! Life is amazing...

Home Sweet Home

Well, blog, you are now looking at a future homeowner. Yay!!

Last Friday I met up with a loan company and was approved for a home loan on a condo. I am officially looking to buy.

The Lord is really blessing me right now and I know His hand is all over this. It has just been way too smooth not to see his fingrprints everywhere. Thank you, Lord.

I am SO beyond excited and joyful about this new chapter in my life. I dont deserve anything, but I have so much to be thankful for!!!

:D

Heart necklaces and blush...

Its amazing how the better you feel about yourself as a woman, the more you are willing to experiment with girlie things. I'm finding myself trying to experiment more with makeup and accessories... and its fun.

I've even done what was once the unthinkable for me: I now own a few pair of skinny jeans. Its crazy! Lol. (And you better believe my sister had to point out my hypochrisy on that one. Haha!)

Right now life is open, free, and fun. Its definitely a new me. Awesome things are on their way from Above. Good looking out God. Love You. Help me to keep this about You...

P.S. Something huge is in the works for me. Keep me in your prayers and hopefully I'll have some exciting news to share soon.

P.P.S. 4 1/2 months til I'm in New York City!!

Noticing the difference...

We always want people to notice any kind of positive change in us--weight loss, new hairstyle, etc. It reaffirms us and feels good. It means people are paying attention to you.

The best changes are the inner changes, and its even more amazing when people recognize those.

Last week one of my old bosses stopped me in the hallway. He had to tell me that he has noticed that I'm smiling a lot more and am a lot happier lately, and that I have "a twinkle in [my] eye. Is something different?"

I told him that I've just decided to stop worrying so much about things that are outside of my control. I'm losing weight, my teeth are fixed, my debt will be paid off--this is my year!!

Then he wanted reassurance that it wasn't because I'm not working for him anymore. LOL! Definitely not!

Man, its so awesome to have people confirm what I feel inside: I AM happier and I AM enjoying my life.

I wish it didn't take me so long to get to this place, but I'm glad I'm here.

Thank you, Lord, that we can cast our cares on You because You care for us...

Bin Laden dead!

Almost 10 years ago, the worst attack on the U.S. in more than 60 years was perpetrated by an extremist muslim group headed by Osama Bin Laden.  He was the mastermind behind the attack on September 11, 2001.

For the last 10 years we have hunted this evil man.

Amen.   Justice has been served.  He got what was coming to him and maybe it's not the most Christian thing to say, but... MAY HE ROT IN HELL.

Now, I join those celebrating in the streets in as we all breath a collective sigh of relief.

Don't mess with the U.S.!

God bless America.  God bless those who lost their lives on 9/11.

Amen!
