A glimpse of hell...

My sister let me borrow a book she recently purchased called “23 Minutes in Hell” by Bill Wiese. It is the account of his 23-minute trip to Hell. I think it’s a must-read for everyone. Reading it, you get the sense that this man is telling the truth and he has scripture to back it up.

Check out this video:

There was one thing in his account that really stuck out to me. At one point he is in a cavern full of creatures of all types that hate him and want to harm him. He specifically states that this includes giant spiders, around 3 feet tall.

Everyone knows that I am deathly afraid of spiders—no seriously—but that’s not why it stood out to me.

Years ago, when I was not walking with the Lord (in fact I now know that I really never KNEW the Lord intimately until a few years ago), I had a wake-up-call kind of dream from the Lord. For some reason the Lord loves to speak to me through dreams actually. But anyway…

In the dream, something was happening in the world and my Dad (who was also not living a right life before God) and I walk out of my house and see the world is dark and there is chaos around us. It’s like it’s the end of the world. We both look at each other and, without speaking a word, we both know that Jesus came and we where not taken. Then I looked up in the sky and saw seven stars. The stars move into a circle. Then I look away and see the sky raining fire and giant spiders surrounding us. Yes, spiders just as described in this man’s book.

Not long after that dream I read about the seven stars in the first book of Revelation. So that explained a lot, but I always remembered the spiders. In my mind they were probably there as a manifestation of something I truly fear. Especially since it seemed full of other things I feared, including (at that time) being left behind.

Then last night I read of these spiders and wham! The dream comes to my mind.

Now I know God was giving me a glimpse… a glimpse of things to come and what I could have faced if I did not come to Him. It literally brings me to tears.

God is real. Hell is real. We don’t have much time. Now is the time to share the Good News, because eventually it will be too late. I don’t want anyone I know to go to Hell…. ESPECIALLY after reading this man’s account. Hell was not meant for us humans and it hurts the Lord beyond description to see any of us lost to that horrible place.

My prayers of salvation for those around me are taking a whole new light now.

Only in MY head...

Have you ever seen Inception? If you have, then I can say that it’s pretty darn close to what my dreams are like: very vivid and extremely detailed and, much of the time, utterly bizarre.

Last night I had a very strange and morbid dream. I’ve never dreamt of anyone committing suicide… until last night.

In the dream I was going to meet up with a friend I used to work with at Magic Mountain who I haven’t seen in years. I’m in a grocery store and I look out a window across the street to see 5 or 6 dogs running down the sidewalk. Only these dogs are standing upright and are dressed in sweatsuits. Weird and kinda funny actually. Everyone in the dream stopped to see these dogs. I was so intrigued that I decided to go outside to get a better look.

As I’m walking to the curb to look across the street I approach a beat up old truck. Inside in the passenger seat is the friend I’m waiting for. We say hi and then out of no where this thuggish looking girl walks out from the store with a gun in her hand. She starts shooting at the dogs and killing them one by one. I turn away because I don’t want to see this and when I look back at her she’s crying.

I realize that those are her dogs that she is killing. Then another girl approaches her crying and screaming to try and tell her to stop killing the dogs. I instinctually know this is the girl’s girlfriend (random, I know; I’ve never had dreams involving lesbians either). The girl turns and shoots her girlfriend.

At this point, I’m thinking this girl is on a rampage and is going to shoot me and my friend since we are witnesses and the closest to her. I can hear my friend scream from the car to please not shoot her, while in that very moment I’m trying to run behind the truck so this girl doesn’t shoot me (courageous, right? Lol). I look back at her and, instead of shooting anyone else, she puts the gun to her own forehead. I immediately look away because I don’t want to see what’s going to happen next.

That’s when I wake up.

Ick. What was that about? I tell you. I don’t understand what goes on in my subconscious brain sometimes… I’m not even going to try to interpret that one. Maybe I just watch too much TV...

Francis Chan and me?

Why did I have a dream last night that I was prego out of wedlock and Francis Chan and I were in love with each other? Hahaha!!!

In the dream, Francis' wife had died and I think he took pity on me because of my "situation." So somehow we just fall in love. (I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I'm pretty sure we made out in the dream too... LOL)

Hysterical and random.... and WEIRD. Weird because who sees religious leaders in a romantic way? I normall don't, I can tell you that. Plus, I don't think I've ever even been attracted to an Asian man before. Not that I have anything against them, I'm just more inclined toward the "browner" men (my daddy's Mexican; what do you want?). =)

But anyway.... Thought I would share and jot it down for posterity.

Too funny.....

"arrested for DUI..."

Man, something HILARIOUS happened today involving my Facebook page. Just had to record it for posterity.

I had a dream last night that this guy totally rejected me. The night before I had a dream that I was arrested for DUI. (Don't know what's up with these dreams, but yeah....) So I thought I'd be clever and post something about it on my Facebook page. I decided to send the status update from my phone via text message. Bad idea.... or was it?

This is what I sent:

(Kristina Morales) dreamt that she got rejected by some guy. Wow. Even in my dreams. Lol. I guess its still not as bad as the dream I had the night before in which I was arrested for DUI...

Well, next thing you know I start getting all these comments from people:

"DUI?"

"Ha, I just saw your first post, but at first I was like, why is Kristina rested for a DUI? And why would she post that?? Lol, I get it now!!!"

"I am glad I read the entire message. I would have been calling Monroy and busting you out...LOL"

OMG! I realized then that the status update got posted in two parts! The second post just read:

(Kristina Morales) arrested for DUI...

Too funny!!! I had all these people thinking for second that I was arrested for driving under the influence. All I could think of was their reactions because I am the last person that anyone would think was going to get arrested and definitely not for DUI. Of course, everyone thought it was funny once they realized what was going on.

Oh man, that made my day!

Dreaming Obama...

I had a random dream last night... well, I guess all dreams are random; you don't really know what you are going to get when you shut your eyes every night. But I digress.

My dream went like this:

I am in the Middle East working as a secretary (as in someone's assistant; not like Secretray with a big S, a la Hillary Clinton). I am the secretary to someone close to Obama and they have me proofread a letter that is going to be signed by him and given to some top official in whatever Arab country we were in. I'm in a hotel room, looking at this letter, and it's basically trying to appease the leader of that country (big surprise there).

Well, even though I know this letter is meant to appease the Leader and not piss him off, I know that it's going to lead to killings and kidnappings of any Western foreigners, which includes me. So, I get scared and ask the person for whom I am working when the President is supposed to sign this letter and have it publicly released. Why do I ask him this? I want time to get out of the country before it is released and before my life is in even more danger than it probably already is.

So, I finish the letter and take off. I'm walking through the streets as women with burqas on and men in Middle Eastern garb stare at me suspiciously. This only makes me more scared... I'm just waiting for something to happen.

PAUSE: Please note that I don't intend to come off as ignorant or like I'm stereotyping, but this is just the way my dream went. =)

Anyway... I get back to a room (not sure if it's in the hotel or an apartment or what). No one is there, but when I turn around to leave, I see this suspicious-looking guy carrying a dying young man in a white shirt and pants. He puts him down right at the doorway of the room I'm in. Although I can't see anything, I realize that this guy is strapped with bombs that are about to go off. I bounce out of there as fast as I can and before the bomb can go off, the dream changes stories....

Crazy dream, I tell you. I felt like I was in some suspense thriller movie or something. When I woke up, I was pissed at Obama. He really is blind. I know it was just a dream, but it does reflect my fears of how foolish Obama is when it comes to dealing with countries that hate us and want us destroyed. I don't feel safe with that man as my President and it's starting to carry over into my dreams.... I guess all I can do is pray for him and for the protection of this country. Not that I think our last President was the greatest, but I sure don't see Obama making sure we are safe the way Bush did....

Anatomy of a dream…

People who know me, especially my family members, know that I have a knack for very vivid and sometimes telling dreams. I truly believe that the Lord uses dreams to speak to me and sometimes through me. It’s kinda freaky sometimes.

I generally have 3 kinds of dreams:
· Regular Dreams – Dreams that we all have about random stuff that is usually made up of a mixture of what’s going in my life, stuff I’ve seen on TV, scary stuff I’ve read about or seen, issues with people in my life, etc.
· Fantasy Dreams -- Dreams that consist of my deep down hopes and dreams and things I really want (e.g. getting married, being pregnant). I’m not talking about sexual fantasies, okay! You dirty people… lol.
· Spiritual/Telling Dreams – Dreams where I’m being communicated with, usually by what I’m sure is God.

The first 2 types of dreams are dreams that come out of my subconscious and sometimes even my conscious. The ones from my subconscious and conscious are ones that I can usually attribute to something that’s going on in my life at the moment. They are usually easily interpreted.

The third type of dream is different. I truly believe it’s something I have no control over. Whether it’s a dead family member or the Devil himself, it’s usually someone from outside of myself seeming to try to communicate with me or, in the case of the Devil, test me. Sometimes, I believe it is God just sending me little messages.

Well, the other day I had a dream that struck me, but I don’t really know what category to put it under. On the surface, it could totally be seen as a Fantasy Dream, but I’m not sure that it is. In a way I get the sense that it could be Spiritual/Telling Dream. I have no idea for sure though.

This is what happened:

I dreamt that Henry lived down the street from my mom’s house, and I decided that I was going to give this friendship one last try and go knock on his door. As I walk up the driveway I’m a little apprehensive and almost hope that he doesn’t answer the door. I knock anyway and sure enough he answers. He has this look on his face as if to say, “What the heck are you doing here?”

For a split second I wish I never bothered, but nevertheless in the most cheery way possible I say, “Hey, I just wanted to say hi and see how you were doing. I haven’t seen you in a while”

He doesn’t say anything at first, but has this bewildered look on his face and I notice that he has his Bible in his right hand, his finger holding his place. Then he tells me that he was just praying about me. I can’t remember what else he says specifically, but basically he tells me that he was praying and asking God to let him know if he should give me another chance to be a part of his life. He then tells me that he asked God to give him a sign on whether he should reach out to me. Right then I knocked on the door.

Then he opens up his Bible where his finger is holding the place and shows me a scripture. I can’t remember what scripture it was (or even if it was a real scripture in real life), but it said something like, “If you ask me, I will show you what you are asking me for,” or something similar to that. We just look at each other and I think he says something like, "isn't that crazy."

Then the dream ended and moved onto something else.

So weird! I woke up weirded out. I thought, “Okay is this just one of those wishful thinking-type dreams (as in a Fantasy Dream)?”

I don’t know that it is. Usually when I have a Fantasy Dream, I wake up all euphoric and feeling good because it’s usually about something I would love to have happen in real life and you wake up with those residual feelings if happiness from the dream, but that wasn’t the case with this one. I woke up totally flabbergasted. It, as they always do, felt so real. I could feel how freaked out Henry was in the dream and it freaked me out.

Then again, I really don’t know if it’s just a Fantasy Dream mixed with a General Dream because of the fact that, 1) yes, I would love for Henry to come to his senses and realize that he walked away from a good thing (Fantasy) AND 2) a few godly women in my life have told me that they feel like the door is not closed on this whole thing with Henry (General). These two factors could have influenced my subconscious and thus produced this dream.

But like I said earlier, I didn’t wake up feeling all “special.” I woke up feeling like this could possibly be the Lord trying to tell me something, but I’m not sure. Aaahhh! I don’t want to over-think this. I also don’t want to mistake a fantasy for a message from God. The most annoying part of the whole thing is that I was finally moving on and not thinking about Henry. It’s just been bothering me since I woke up that morning, so I can’t stop thinking about it and, as a result, him.

Either way, I’m trying to move on with my life and I am planning to get more involved in church and try to put myself out there in the hopes that when I am least paying attention and when I least expect it, the man the Lord has for me will come out of the woodwork. I guess, though, that if the Lord has it in His plans for me to be with Henry, it will happen… dream or no dream, plans or no plans.

Ay ay ay…. This really doesn’t need to be this deep, does it?

Poor baby...

Last night I had a strange dream. (What's new?)

I dreamt that Michelle Williams (ex-girlfriend of the late Heath Ledger) had hired me to be her daughter's nanny. Yes, her daughter, Matilda, with Heath Ledger.

Don't ask me why I dreamt this.

In the dream, I'm watching the little girl, Matilda (who just so happens to look just like the real Matilda... it was scary), when all of a sudden she runs down a hallway and I hear her crying, "my daddy... my daddy." I'm confused, so I run down to see what she's looking at and they are showing Heath Ledger on TV. She starts crying because she can't understand why her daddy's on TV, but not with her. I grab her away and try to comfort her and then either think or say (don't know which) that she should not be allowed to watch TV for awhile because it's too confusing.

Again, I have no idea why I dreamt this, but when I woke up from the dream I wanted to cry. It was so horrible. That poor baby. It's such a tragedy that she will never know her daddy. I really have no idea why this affects me so much. It's weird. I have no connection with these people whatsoever, yet I feel for them like I do have a connection to them. I don't know. Maybe I empathize with people just a little too much sometimes...
